I have enjoyed learning about vodcast (podcast with video) and podcasts. I now know that to create a podcast I have to record, publish and publicise. There is a huge list of topics to view and experience. I could use the vodcast to view visual recordings and have the children give commentaries on their space projects.
I often use YouTube to find relevant visuals for subject matter. We recently did some Science work on simple machines and was able to find lots of interesting clips on lever, pulleys,etc.
We currently have a pilot programme in year 1 with i-pads and hopefully this will be implemented into other grades. We had a full staff meeting with a guest speaker from CEO, ICT unit and heard all about I-pads and all the apps available. We were specifically told of all the free apps which is were recommended.

Module 3
Today we met as a group of tired teachers to continue our enlightenment. We logged onto google docs and shared our blank documents and gmail addresses to write and edit. I am totally fascinated at the innovation of google docs.
I watched the videos on the uses of google docs in the classroom. The enthusiasm of the teachers on video was catching. Comments included the positive nature in which students were able to draft, edit and publish collaboratively. It was time saving, productive and improved the children's learning. In my classroom we could share with each other in groups and across the grade.
